How to train and condition the muscles to improve the ability of martial arts?

I was told that the difference between "full time "muscles and" peaks "muscles (ie n high n low long and short) is due to the training habits of the person they are attached. I was also told it is a genetic trait. What is true? I guess the muscles are better for full-time martial arts but how can I train my muscles to the gym equipment to help and the level of free weights? Also, how can I train for speep on strike? Should I use isometric exercises and fabrics or can help with weight training too much?

For most martial arts that you would be better to "resistance training" and "plyometrics. Do a search in Yahoo or want more information on these types of training, they will state your body speed and strength of combining the two in what is known as "The Most Explosive Power" If it is a defense art then you work by creating a difference of fluid between you and your opponent you choose your best attack timed.
