Wing Chun Martial Arts

If you are an avid fan of Kung Fu Wushu traditional rather than modern than we have today, chances are you might be a practitioner of traditional martial arts south.

Talking southern traditional martial arts, some may have already heard Hung Kuen or Hung Gar. This art is very famous because Wong Fei Hung, even though a real person in history, is a famous character in many films of Hong Kong martial arts and a practitioner of Hung Kuen.

What is the overall difference between South traditonal martial arts and northern arts Martial? Martial Arts South rely heavily on low positions and hips to generate power while the north of martial arts in general movements more fluid and uses his legs quite often.

If you've heard about Hung Kuen chances are you've heard of Choy Li Fut as well. Choy Li Fut also characteristics of southern martial arts. So if you've heard of Choy Li Fut I guess you could also have heard of Wing Chun.

So what is so special about Wing Chun? It is a martial arts South but when you see it in action, you may see a big difference.

The difference The most common position is a. Wing Chun It is not even high and wide and completely different than most other traditional martial arts postures has.Wing Chun attack is short enough as it was designed for close combat. Most of the time during the attack or defense, a practitioner of Wing Chun hand will be close to his body without swinging too wide. Wing Chun punches and other attacks are mostly centralized way.

So what the famous Wing Chun and stands proudly among the other arts matial? If I want to go back a little history, I do not think many of them is as true as it sounds, but if we start from the time the name of Yip Man, I think we would all agree that Bruce Lee Wing Chun is much more popular.

Bruce Lee was a practitioner of Wing Chun. He studied under Yip Man who was also quite famous in his day. Although partially away from Wing Chun, Bruce Lee became an icon in the history of Kung Fu. Just as Wong Fei Hung, people want to know what kind of art he studied, so I guess that is why Wing Chun is still heavily today with thousands of enthusiastic supporters.

There are some Wing Chun that he was upgrading today. As we become more advance, martial arts will slowly lose its meaning. There is of course a bunch of doctors who keep it alive, but I think standards have dropped in most traditional martial arts, including Wing Chun.

While Wing Chun is still there, why not direct you to Wing Chun Art Martial get more information on Wing Chun?
