Martial Arts Reality Shows

I need your opinion about this…?

My husband has been doing martial arts all of his life. He is not violent, he is a very sweet man. But, this is something that he is very passionate about. He even participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. ( Not the reality show) So, anyway I have two boys. My husband wants to train them to be in the UFC. I don’t agree with this. Me and him fight constantly about it. What do you think? Should I let him, or stick to my guns? Because I think that the boys need to make their own decisions about it. Which they ultimately will make their own decision. But, I don’t want him pressuring them.

If your sons want to be in the UFC it can’t hurt anything. In fact it could help them build confidence and learn self-defense. If your boys DON’T want to be in the UFC encourage them to go ONCE and see if they like it. If they don’t, oh well. There are more important things. If they do…great! But kids shouldn’t be pressured to do things they don’t need to do. Chores are understandable, but things like sports activities should be your child’s choice.
